Sail ONEC offers sailing training for both adults and youths. Experienced club members using CL16s and Lasers in May and June teach the adult training program. Sail Canada instructors using Picos and other boats in July and August teach the youth Sailing Camp. Sailing Camp Sail ONEC operates a sailing camp and a combined tennis/sailing camp for youth between the ages of 9 and 16. The students receive quality instruction stressing safety, fun, and learning. They are introduced to many different elements of sailing, safety practices, and seamanship. They will develop new skills in boat handling and sailing for both fun and competition. Sail Canada certified instructors teach trainees, and successful trainees receive Sail Canada certificates from CANSail I to CANSail 4. We emphasize safety and low student-to-instructor ratios in accord with Sail Canada guidelines. The camp operates in 1 to 4 week modules from July to August. There are also a limited number of spaces for enrolment in a combined sailing/tennis camp. Beginning sailors will be taught on the two person Pico or the three to four person CL16. More experienced trainees will sail on RS Fevas, Laser or Laser 2. For more information please go to daycamps . |
